Scotty, Beam Back My Nine Bucks!

I'm saddened to report that "Star Trek: The Exhibition" was a major disappointment. I caught it at the Detroit Science Center, but I assume it's a traveling road show. The props (all reconstructions, nothing original) and the costumes (again, all reconstructions) on display were rather pedestrian. The bridge set was a pathetic rendering AND in poor repair. Hell, the Captain's chair didn't even swivel. Furthermore, you couldn't take your own pictures. Instead, you had to shell out another ten to twenty-seven dollars for a "professional" photograph.

If you are a major fan of the show, there's absolutely no insights to be gleaned. And for those with less than a passing interest in Trekdom, NOTHING to make the $9.00 entrance fee worth it.
