At Least the Burger King Guy is "Alive"

Interesting article from "Advertising Age" on the latest Orville Redenbacher ad. Soon to be a series of ads.

It IS creepy. However, last year, when they dusted off the 1976 Redenbacher ads, popcorn sales increased. So, this isn't as crazy as it looks (I guess).

Can new Dave Thomas ads be far behind?

I can understand where they're coming from. Orville Redenbacher himself was his product's brand. Without him, they've lost their face (no pun intended). Whether or not the ads are done in good taste, I can't say without having viewed any. Could it be any worse then the Scottish Rite advertising on NASCAR?
