Carl Mayer's suit stems from the Patriots being caught videotaping signals from Jets coaches, in violation of league rules, in New England's 38-14 season-opening win September 9.Mayer's attorney, Bruce Afran, accused the Pats of violating "the integrity of the game." "This is a way of punishing Belichick and the Patriots.''
