Phoney

I wish I hadn't neglected to submit my entry in The New Yorker's "Cartoon Contest" #243. I know I wouldn't have won, but I could have complained with more zeal.

My idea was:
"It's for you."
I was sure someone else got that in before me and made it to the top three. Instead, the "winners" were:
  • "That was the wakeup call from Hell." - huh?

  • "Terrormarketer." - groaaaaaaaan

  • "I think the collection agency is getting serious." - really?

Wow. It's sad that "Terrormarketer" is far and away the best of the three. Yours is much better.
