Look close and you may notice the same newspaper showing up over and over again in a number of television shows and films. Sciretta postulates that "it was created as a royalty free prop for television shows. Somewhere along the line, the prop became a reoccurring gag between propmasters."
Shots of Ed O'Neill holding the prop in "Married With Children" and then years later in "Modern Family" make a nice set of bookends for the piece.
