- "Bullets don't grow on trees, Harry." - cute, but not funny
- "I told you to hire a professional!" - fair
- "Just come to bed and kill yourself in the morning." - zzzzz

I think the "failure" joke was probably a common one for this cartoon, which could be why it wasn't picked. My fiancee submitted an almost identical version. I submitted "Henry, you know the maid is off until Thursday." It gets at the same sense of upperclass ennui in the face of a dire situation that the winner did ("...kill yourself in the morning"), but probably not as well.
I suppose mine was a bit obvious.
